China’s coal output up 0.6 percent in January-April

In the January-April period of the current year, China’s raw coal output amounted to 1.11 billion mt, increasing by 0.6 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In April alone, China’s raw coal output amounted to 290.0 million mt, up 0.1 percent year on year.

In April, China imported 25.30 million mt of coal, rising by 13.6 percent year on year, while it imported 99.93 million mt of coal in the January-April period, up 1.7 percent year on year.
