China’s steel bar exports rise by 3.8 percent in Q1

In the January-March period of this year, China’s export volumes of steel bars, angles/channels, steel plate and wire rod amounted to 3.08 million mt, 800,000 mt, 10.19 million mt and 470,000 mt, up 3.8 percent, down 1.6 percent, rising by 18.4 percent and up 5.5 percent year on year, respectively, according to the Chinese customs authorities.

In the January-March period, China exported 17.025 million mt of finished steel, up 12.6 percent year on year, as previously announced by the Chinese customs authorities.
