China’s steel bar exports decline by 23.6 percent in H1

In the January-June period this year, China’s export volumes of steel bars, angles/channels and steel wire rod amounted to 5.55 million mt, 1.70 million mt and 1.03 million mt, down 23.6 percent, 4.2 percent and 1.4 percent year on year, respectively, while steel plate exports amounted to 20.67 million mt, up 2.6 percent year on year, according to the Chinese customs authorities.

In the January-June period, China exported 34.399 million mt of finished steel, down 2.6 percent year on year, as previously announced by the Chinese customs authorities.
