China’s stainless steel exports total 168,418 mt in February

China exported 168,418 mt of stainless steel products in February this year, down 16.575 percent from the January volume, affected by the Chinese New Year holiday, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. China’s exports of stainless flat steel in the given month amounted to 133,837 mt, decreasing by 8.5 percent year on year. In February, China’s exports of stainless flat steel to Taiwan totaled 50,093 mt, up 1.2 percent, while its stainless flat steel exports to South Korea amounted to 29,489 mt, up 1.4 percent, both year on year.
 
Meanwhile, China’s overall stainless steel imports in February totaled 49,579 mt, down 17.111 percent from the January volume.
