China’s SSEA member companies’ crude steel output down 4% in Jan-Aug

China Special Steel Enterprises Association issues their member companies’ special steel output in Jan-Aug. According to the statistics, SSEA member companies’ crude steel output totals 45.75 million mt, decreasing four percent or 2.02 million year on year.
 
Particularly, non-alloy crude steel output totals 15.09 million mt, decreasing four percent year on year, which accounts for 33 percent of total crude steel production of SSEA companies. (High quality non-alloy crude steel output is 7.46 million mt, down six percent year on year). SSEA companies’ low-alloy crude steel totals 14.25 million mt, decreasing three percent year on year, which accounts for 31 percent of the total. (High quality low-alloy crude steel totals 5.64 million mt, down eight percent year on year). Alloy crude steel totals 13.81 million mt, down seven percent year on year, which accounts for 30 percent of the total. (High quality alloy crude steel output is 2.22 million mt, down four percent year on year). Stainless steel totals 2.59 million mt, up two percent year on year, which accounts for six percent of the total.

Meanwhile, SSEA companies’ finished products output total 45.66 million mt, decreasing 1.52 million mt year on year. Particularly, non-alloy steel products output totals 15.90 million mt, decreasing four percent year on year, which accounts for 35 percent of total finished product output. (high quality non-alloy finished steel output is 7.98 million mt, down five percent year on year). Low-alloy finished steel output totals 14 million mt, decreasing one percent year on year, which accounts for 31 percent of the total. (High quality low-alloy finished steel totals 6.15 million mt, down four percent year on year). SSEA member companies’ stainless steel output totals 2.53 million mt, up six percent year on year, which accounts for six percent of the total.
 
Finished steel products of the companies in question, are constituted by bars totaling 13.33 million mt and accounting for 29 percent of the total, by wire rods totaling 6.68 million mt  and accounting for 15 percent of the total, by plates totaling 3.36 million mt and accounting for seven percent of the total and by sheets totaling 3.69 million mt and accounting for eight percent of the total.
