China’s semi-finished imports surge by 450.1 percent in Q1

In the January-March period this year, China imported 360,000 mt of semi-finished steel, surging by 450.1 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities.

Meanwhile, in March alone, China imported 90,000 mt of semi-finished steel, up 510.0 percent year on year.
