China’s semi-finished imports surge by 338.7 percent in H1

In the January-June period this year, China imported 680,000 mt of semi-finished steel, surging by 338.7 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities.

Meanwhile, in June alone China imported 100,000 mt of semi-finished steel, up 176.3 percent year on year.
