China’s semi-finished imports surge by 115.3 percent in 2018

In 2018, China imported 1.05 million mt of semi-finished steel, surging by 115.3 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities.

Meanwhile, in December alone China imported 110,000 mt of semi-finished steel, down 155.1 percent year on year.
