China’s retail sales of consumer goods up 9.3 percent in January-July

In the first seven months of the current year, China’s total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to RMB 21.0752 trillion ($3.1 trillion), up 9.3 percent year on year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on August 14. In July alone, China’s total retail sales of consumer goods amounted to RMB 3.0734 trillion ($0.45 trillion), up 8.8 percent year on year.

In particular, in the first seven months, total automotive vehicle sales in China reached a value of RMB 2.1698 trillion ($0.32 trillion), increasing by 2.0 percent year on year.
