China’s PPI down 2.8 percent in October, CPI up 1.7 percent

In October this year, China’s producer price index (PPI) fell by 2.8 percent compared to the same month last year but indicated a slight increase of 0.2 percent compared with September this year, accordingly to China’s National Bureau of Statistics. Meanwhile, in the January-October period of the current year, China’s PPI decreased by 1.6 percent on year-on-year basis.
 
Also in October of the current year, China’s consumer price index (CPI) indicated a year-on-year increase of 1.7 percent, while it was down by a slight margin of 0.1 percent month on month. China’s CPI for the first 10 months of this year witnessed an increase of 2.7 percent compared to the same period last year.
