In June this year, China produced 86,000 new energy vehicles, up 31.7 percent year on year, including 64,000 pure electric passenger cars and 22,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 18.6 percent and 93.8 percent year on year, respectively, according to the latest data issued by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the January-June period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 413,000 units, up 94.9 percent on year-on-year basis, including 314,000 pure electric passenger cars, rising by 79.0 percent, and 9,900 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 170.2 percent year on year, respectively.
