In July this year, China produced 90,000 new energy vehicles, up 53.6 percent year on year, including 68,000 pure electric passenger cars and 22,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 45.4 percent and 85.3 percent year on year, respectively, according to the latest data issued by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the January-July period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 504,000 units, up 85.0 percent on year-on-year basis, including 382,000 pure electric passenger cars, rising by 71.0 percent, and 12,200 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 148.9 percent year on year, respectively.
