In October this year, China produced 92,000 new energy vehicles, up 85.9 percent year on year, including 77,000 pure electric passenger cars and 15,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 76.3 percent and 163.6 percent year on year, respectively, according to the latest data issued by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the January-October period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 517,000 units, up 45.7 percent on year-on-year basis, including 427,000 pure electric passenger cars, rising by 54.7 percent, and 90,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 14 percent year on year, respectively.
