In September this year, China produced 77,000 new energy vehicles, up 79.7 percent year on year, including 64,000 pure electric passenger cars and 13,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 85.2 percent and 57.6 percent year on year, respectively, according to the latest data issued by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the January-September period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 424,000 units, up 40.2 percent on year-on-year basis, including 348,000 pure electric passenger cars, rising by 51.6 percent, and 76,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up four percent year on year, respectively.
