In July this year, China produced 59,000 new energy vehicles, up 52.6 percent year on year, including 47,000 pure electric passenger cars and 12,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, rising by 69.6 percent and 10.0 percent year on year, respectively, according to the latest data issued by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the January-July period of the current year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 272,000 units, up 26.2 percent on year-on-year basis, including 223,000 pure electric passenger cars, rising by 37.8 percent, and 49,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, down 8.8 percent year on year, respectively.
