In March of this year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 128,000 units, up 88.6 percent on year-on-year basis, including 100,000 pure electric passenger cars, rising by 96.2 percent, and 28,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 65.5 percent year on year, respectively, as announced by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM).
In the January-March period of the year, China’s new energy vehicle output amounted to 304,000 units, up 102.7 percent on year-on-year basis, including 226,000 pure electric passenger cars, rising by 109.3 percent, and 78,000 plug-in hybrid electric vehicles, up 85.2 percent year on year.
