China's NDRC approves urban rail projects worth RMB 209 billion

On December 22, China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) stated that it has approved urban rail transit projects in Hefei, Anhui Province and in Zhejiang Province, with total respective investments of around RMB 78.784 billion ($12.83 billion) and RMB 130.5 billion ($21.25 billion).

In particular, the urban rail transit projects in metropolitan areas in Zhejiang will cover the cities of Hangzhou, Ningbo, Wenzhou and Taizhou, and other cities in central Zhejiang, including 23 lines, with a total length of 1,413 kilometers.

The urban rail transit projects in the city of Hefei in Anhui Province consist of 12 lines, with a total length of 336.9 kilometers.

Since October this year, the NDRC has approved more than 40 projects, including railways, roads, new airports and expansions of old airports, with total investments of over RMB 1.3 trillion ($0.212 trillion).
