China’s Jiangsu Province imposes emergency air pollution measures

The government of China’s Jiangsu Province has issued a round of emergency emissions reduction measures effective from 20:00 on November 26, aimed at tackling air pollution. The measures will remain in effect until further notice.

The emergency emissions reduction measures include the halting of production at 4,000 industrial enterprises, the halting of construction at 4,800 construction sites, the suspension of transportation of materials, the suspension of open-pit demolition, blasting, crushing and concrete mixing operations, and the suspension of transport operations at ports.
