China’s iron ore output down 3.26 percent in Oct from Sept

In October this year, China’s aggregate iron ore output totaled 124.853 million mt, down 4.209 million mt or 3.26 percent compared to September, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics. Meanwhile, aggregate iron ore output in China in the given month increased by 13.3 percent on year-on-year basis. China’s aggregate iron ore output in September this year, amounting to 129.062 million mt, had increased by 10.72 percent month on month and by 20.3 percent year on year.
 
In the January-October period of this year, China’s total iron ore output amounted to 1.0911 billion mt, up 16.2 percent compared to the same period of last year.
