China’s iron ore imports up in Jan-Apr period
China's General Administration of Customs disclosed that the country's iron ore imports rose 28% year on year to 87.49 million tons during the January-April 2005 period. In the above mentioned period, imports of steel products fell 36% year on year to 8.53 million tons. Industry analysts indicate that China's raw material imports, including iron ore, showed an upward trend due to the country's fast-growing economy.China's iron ore imports up in Jan-Apr period
