China’s iron ore imports rise by six percent in January-November

In November this year, China’s imports of iron ore and iron ore concentrate amounted to 94.54 million mt, up 18.9 percent month on month and increasing by 2.8 percent year on year, while in the January-November period this year China’s imports of iron ore and iron ore concentrate totaled 990.73 million mt, up 6.0 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on December 8. 

In November this year, China imported 1.14 million mt of finished steel, down 20.0 percent month on month and increasing by 2.7 percent year on year. In the January-November period, China’s imports of finished steel totaled 12.10 million mt, rising by 0.6 percent year on year.
