China’s investment in new energy auto sector since 2012 exceeds RMB 2.0 trillion

Xin Guobin, deputy minister at China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), announced at the World New Energy Vehicle Congress (WNCVC) held in Bo’ao in Hainan Province on July 1-3 that the formulation of the development plan for China’s new energy automobile industry in 2021-2035 has begun and the general outline of the plan has been determined.

Mr. Xin also stated that China’s accumulative investment in the whole new energy automobile industry has exceeded RMB 2.0 trillion ($0.29 trillion) since the implementation of development plan for the industry since 2012 for the 2012-20 period.
