China's GDP increases by 7.4 percent in Jan-Sept

China's gross domestic product (GDP) indicated a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent to RMB 41.9908 trillion ($6.84 trillion) in the January-September quarter of the current year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on October 21.
 
In the first nine months of the year, China's domestic primary, secondary and tertiary industries respectively contributed RMB 3.7996 trillion ($0.619 trillion), RMB 18.5787 trillion ($3.026 trillion) and RMB 19.6125 trillion ($3.194 trillion) to the country's GDP, up 4.2 percent, 7.4 percent and 7.9 percent respectively on year-on-year basis. In the third quarter of the current year, China's GDP increased by 1.9 percent compared to the second quarter.
 
In the first quarter this year, China's GDP indicated a year-on-year increase of 7.4 percent, while indicating rises of 7.5 percent and 7.3 percent year on year in the second and third quarters, respectively.
