China's gross domestic product (GDP) indicated a year-on-year increase of 6.9 percent to RMB 18.0683 trillion ($2.63 trillion) in the first quarter of the current year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
In the first quarter this year, China’s domestic primary, secondary and tertiary industries contributed RMB 865.4 billion ($125.78 billion), RMB 7.0005 trillion ($1.02 trillion) and RMB 10.2024 trillion ($1.48 trillion) to the country’s GDP, rising by 3.0 percent, 6.4 percent and 7.7 percent respectively on year-on-year basis.
