China's gross domestic product (GDP) indicated a year-on-year increase of 6.9 percent to RMB 38.149 trillion ($5.61 trillion) in the first half of the current year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on July 17.
In the first half this year, China’s domestic primary, secondary and tertiary industries contributed RMB 2.1987 trillion ($0.32 trillion), RMB 15.2987 trillion ($2.25 trillion) and RMB 20.6516 trillion ($3.037 trillion) to the country’s GDP, rising by 3.5 percent, 6.4 percent and 7.7 percent respectively on year-on-year basis.
