China's GDP increases by 6.4 percent in Q1

China's gross domestic product (GDP) indicated a year-on-year increase of 6.4 percent to RMB 21.3433 trillion ($3.18 trillion) in the first quarter of the current year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In the given period, China’s domestic primary, secondary and tertiary industries contributed RMB 876.9 billion ($130.7 billion), RMB 8.2346 trillion ($1.23 trillion) and RMB 12.2317 trillion ($1.82 trillion) to the country’s GDP, rising by 2.7 percent, 6.1 percent and 7.0 percent on year-on-year basis, respectively.
