China’s foreign trade value up 11.6 percent in January-October

In October this year, China’s total foreign trade value amounted to $339.786 billion, indicating a year-on-year rise of 11.2 percent, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on November 8. In the given month, the total value of China’s exports amounted to $188.98 billion, increasing by 6.9 percent year on year, while Chinese imports totaled $150.806 billion in value, rising by 17.2 percent year on year, resulting in a trade surplus of $38.174 billion.

In the January-October period of the current year, China’s total foreign trade value amounted to $3.307217 trillion, up 11.6 percent year on year. In the given period, the total value of China’s exports amounted to $1.820993 trillion, up 7.4 percent, while the value of its imports rose by 17.2 percent year on year to $1.486223 trillion, resulting in a trade surplus of $334.77 billion in the given period.
