China’s fixed asset investments up 6.3 percent in Q1

In the January-March period of this year, total fixed asset investments (excluding rural households) in China amounted to RMB 10.1871 trillion ($1.52 trillion), up 6.3 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), with the year-on-year increase rate in question 0.2 percentage points higher compared to that recorded for the January-February period this year. In March alone, fixed asset investments (excluding rural households) in China increased by 0.45 percent month on month.

In the first quarter of the year, total fixed asset investment in China's mining sector was up 14.8 percent year on year, while fixed asset investment in China's manufacturing sector rose by 4.6 percent year on year, with the respective year-on-year increase rates in question down 26.6 percentage points and 1.3 percentage points compared to those recorded for the January-February period.
