China's fixed asset investments up 16.1 percent in January-September

In the January-September period of the current year, total fixed asset investments (excluding rural households) in China amounted to RMB 35.7787 trillion ($5.83 trillion), up 16.1 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on October 21, with the year-on-year increase rate in question down 0.4 percentage points compared to that recorded in the January-August period this year.

In January-September this year, total fixed asset investment in China's mining sector amounted to RMB 1.0135 trillion ($165.07 billion), up 3.6 percent year on year, while fixed asset investment in China's manufacturing sector totaled RMB 12.1052 trillion ($1.972 trillion), up 13.8 percent year on year, with these respective year-on-year increase rates both down 0.3 percentage points compared to those recorded in the January-August period this year.
