China’s fixed asset investments increase by 5.8 percent in H1

In the January-June period of this year, total fixed asset investments (excluding rural households) in China amounted to RMB 29.91 trillion ($4.35 trillion), up 5.8 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), with the year-on-year increase rate in question 0.2 percentage points higher compared to that recorded for the January-May period of this year. In June alone, fixed asset investments (excluding rural households) in China increased by 0.44 percent month on month.

In the first six months of the year, total fixed asset investment in China's mining sector was up 22.3 percent year on year, while fixed asset investment in China's manufacturing sector rose by 3.0 percent year on year, with the year-on-year increase rate in question down 3.8 percentage points and up 0.3 percentage points compared to that recorded for the January-May period.
