China's finished steel exports up 42.2 percent in Jan-Oct

China exported 8.55 million mt of finished steel in October this year, up 0.35 percent month on month, while it exported 73.89 million mt of finished steel in the January-October period of the year, rising by 42.2 percent year on year, according to data issued by the Chinese customs authorities.

In October, China imported 1.09 million mt of finished steel, decreasing by 19.85 percent month on month, while its finished steel imports in the January-October period amounted to 12.09 million mt, up 4.1 percent year on year.

China imported 79.39 million mt of iron ore in October, declining by 6.26 percent month on month, and while it imported 778.43 million mt of iron ore in the first 10 months of the year, up 16.5 percent on year-on-year basis. In October this year, China exported 820,000 mt of metallurgical coke, up 18.84 percent month on month, while it exported 6.56 million mt of coke in the first 10 months of the year, increasing by 102.6 percent year on year.
