China’s finished steel exports up 12.6 percent in Q1

In the January-March period of this year, China exported 17.025 million mt of finished steel, up 12.6 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on April 12.

In the January-March period of this year, China exported 2.003 million mt of metallurgical coke, decreasing by 8.3 percent year on year.

In March alone, China exported 6.327 million mt of finished steel, up 12.0 percent year on year, while it exported 600,000 mt of coke, down 36.2 percent year on year.
