China’s finished steel exports down 8.1 percent in 2018

In December last year, China exported 5.556 million mt of finished steel, down 4.87 percent month on month and decreasing by 2.0 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on January 14.

In December, China exported 1.118 million mt of metallurgical coke, increasing by 27.8 percent month on month and up 7.5 percent year on year.

In 2018, China exported 69.336 million mt of finished steel, down 8.1 percent, while it exported 9.754 million mt of coke, increasing by 20.8 percent, both year on year.
