China’s finished steel exports down 26.4 percent in Q1

In March this year, China exported 5.651 million mt of finished steel, up 16.6 percent month on month and decreasing by 25.3 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on April 13.

In March, China exported 940,000 mt of metallurgical coke, increasing by 45.3 percent month on month and up 135.0 percent year on year.

In the January-March period of the current year, China exported 15.148 million mt of finished steel, down 26.4 percent, and 2.273 million mt of coke, increasing by 13.4 percent, both year on year.
