In April this year, China exported 6.476 million mt of finished steel, up 14.6 percent month on month and decreasing by 0.2 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities on May 8.
In April, China exported 813,000 mt of metallurgical coke, decreasing by 13.5 percent month on month and up 9.9 percent year on year.
In the January-April period of the current year, China exported 21.624 million mt of finished steel, down 20.1 percent, while it exported 3.085 million mt of coke, increasing by 12.3 percent, both year on year.
