China's excavator sales rise by 20 percent in August

In China, excavator sales in August increased to 13,843 units, 1,497 units more than in July, while up 19.5 percent year on year, 8.5 percentage points faster than the growth in July, as announced by China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA). The steady growth in China’s excavator sales signals China’s infrastructure construction will boom in the remaining period of the year.

In August, excavator sales in domestic market amounted to 11,566 units, up 14.4 percent year on year, while to the export market amounted to 2,277 units, up 53.6 percent year on year.

In the January-August period of the year, excavator sales amounted to 163,396 units, up 14.4 percent year on year, 0.5 percentage point faster than the growth in January-July.
