China's daily steel output in April reaches historical high

China's average daily production of crude steel and finished steel reached new historical highs in April, totaling 1.344 million mt and 1.542 million mt, up 3.75 percent and 1.83 percent respectively month on month - according to the latest figures released by China's National Bureau of Statistics.

China's steel output in April totaled 37.85 million mt for pig iron, 40.32 million mt for crude steel, and 46.27 million mt for finished steel - up 13.7 percent, 16.5 percent, and 20.9 percent respectively compared with the same period last year.
