China’s General Administration of Customs has announced that as of January 1, 2020, it will no longer implement import inspection and supervision of 32 steel products under HS codes 7219, 7220, 7221, 7222, 7225 and 7226, including hot rolled stainless steel coil, hot rolled stainless steel plate, cold rolled stainless steel plate, cold rolled steel strip, hot rolled stainless steel bar and rod, other silicon electric steel wide and narrow plate, iron-base amorphous alloy strip, hot rolled other alloy steel plate and iron-nickel alloy strip. This move will likely stimulate imports of the steel products in question.
