China's CPI up 2.7 percent in February

SteelOrbis Shanghai According to the figures published on March 13 by the National Bureau of Statistics, China's consumer price index (CPI) rose by 2.7 percent year on year in February. This growth is 0.5 of a percentage point higher than that the previous month. Meanwhile, China's February producer price index (PPI) increased 2.6 percent, down 0.7 of a percentage point compared with January's 3.3 percent. All in all, the current Chinese price trend is on a gentle upward curve. In the short term, there is no possibility of or need for an interest rate increase.
