In August this year, China imported 5.62 million mt of coking coal, down 12.8 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities.
In the January-August period this year, China imported 46.75 million mt of coking coal, rising by 23.3 percent year on year.
