China’s coking coal imports increase by 22.2 percent in H1

In the January-June period this year, China imported 36.21 million mt of coking coal, up 22.2 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. 

In June alone, China imported 6.55 million mt of coking coal, down 2.5 percent year on year.
