China’s coke exports down 33.1 percent in 2019

In 2019, China exported 6.523 million mt of metallurgical coke, down 33.1 percent year on year, slightly slower the decrease rate of 33.3 percent recorded in the January-November period.

In December alone, China exported 767,000 mt of metallurgical coke, up 137.5 percent month on month compared to exports of 444,000 mt in November, while decreasing by 31.5 percent year on year, 31.4 percentage points slower from the year-on-year decrease rate of 62.9 percent recorded in November.
