China’s coke exports down 16.9 percent in January-February

In February this year, China exported 650,000 mt of metallurgical coke, down 20.5 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities. Meanwhile, in February, China exported 110,000 mt of coking coal, up 27.5 percent year on year. 

In the January-February period this year, China’s metallurgical coke exports totaled 1.33 million mt, declining by 16.9 percent year on year, while its coking coal exports amounted to 260,000 mt, up 17.5 percent year on year.
