China’s coal output increases by 2.6 percent in H1

In the January-June period of the current year, China’s raw coal output amounted to 1.76 billion mt, increasing by 2.6 percent year on year, 2.2 percentage points higher than the growth recorded in the first quarter this year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

In June alone, China’s raw coal output amounted to 330.0 million mt, up 10.4 percent year on year.

China imported 27.10 million mt of coal in June this year, up 6.4 percent, while it imported 154 million mt of coal in the January-June period of the year, rising by 5.8 percent, both year on year.
