China’s coal imports up 18.2 percent in January-July

In July this year, China’s coal imports totaled 19.46 million mt, down 8.23 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In the January-July period of the current year, China’s coal imports amounted to 152.71 million mt, rising by 18.2 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, China exported 480,000 mt coal in July, increasing by 104.26 percent, while it exported 5.86 million mt in the January-July period, up 19.4 percent, both year on year.
