China’s coal imports up 13.7 percent in January-September

In September this year, China’s coal imports totaled 27.08 million mt, up 7.2 percent month on month, while up 10.8 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities.

In the January-September period of the current year, China’s coal imports amounted to 204.85 million mt, rising by 13.7 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, China exported 690,000 mt coal in September, increasing by 630,000 mt month on month, while increasing 7.8 percent year on year, while it exported 6.6 million mt in the January-September period, up 4.8 percent year on year.
