China’s coal exports increase by 25.9 percent in January-June

In the January-June period this year, China exported 2.977 million mt of coal, increasing by 25.9 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. In the same period, China imported 154.486 million mt of coal, increasing by 5.8 percent year on year.

In June alone, China imported 27.098 million mt of coal, increasing by 6.4 percent year on year, while it exported 332,000 mt of coal, down 5.95 percent year on year.
