China’s coal exports down 55.9 percent in January-May

In May this year, China exported 533,000 mt of coal, down 59.31 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. In the same month, China imported 22.333 million mt of coal, increasing by 0.64 percent year on year.

In the January-May of the current year, China exported 2.012 million mt of coal, down 55.9 percent year on year, while its coal imports totaled 120.733 million mt, up 8.2 percent year on year.
