China’s coal exports down 54.5 percent in January-April

In April this year, China exported 511,000 mt of coal, down 42.5 percent year on year, as announced by the Chinese customs authorities. In the same month, China imported 22.283 million mt of coal, decreasing by 10.1 percent year on year.

In the January-April of the current year, China exported 1.479 million mt of coal, down 54.5 percent year on year, while its coal imports totaled 97.677 million mt, up 9.3 percent year on year.
