China’s Chongqing Steel produces 3.99 million mt crude steel in Jan-Sept

Chinese steelmaker Chongqing Iron & Steel Co. said on October 24 that it produced 3.99 million mt crude steel in the first nine months of the current year.

As SteelOrbis previously reported on October 10, the company had announced that its finished product production in the January-September period of this year totaled 3.61 million mt, with a year-on-year decrease of 12.7 percent. In September alonde, the company produced 302,000 mt of finished steel, down 25.22 percent year-on-year.
